Wastewater Operator – Bernards Township.
Seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Wastewater Operator. Applicants must be able to perform the routine operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and collection system, including routine cleaning, lubrication, and repair of equipment. Work is performed at the plant, as well as plant facilities in all types of weather conditions. Candidates must be able to climb stairs while carrying items that weigh up to 50 pounds and recognize operating problems with the treatment processes, pumps and other equipment.
The position is 40 hours per week with a rotating weekend schedule and 24-hour on‑call coverage for emergencies. A valid New Jersey Driver’s License is required; a New Jersey CDL is preferred or must be obtained within one year. Pay rate is $27.66 per hour. Excellent benefits apply.
