Schedule: 1-4 hours per week, after school
Program Length: ~10 weeks
Start Date: Rolling openings based on school schedules
Compensation: $50+ per instructional hour (flexible based on experience, program, and commute)
Concorde Education is excited to invite applications for an Anime Club Facilitator. In this dynamic role, you will create a structured and engaging environment for students to explore the fascinating world of anime as an art form and cultural phenomenon.
Your sessions will blend guided viewing, engaging discussions, and creative projects, enabling students to enhance their media literacy, communication skills, and cultural understanding in a fun and vibrant community.
What You'll Teach- Engage students in their exploration of anime through guided clips, discussions, and creative activities, including:
- Storytelling, character development, and thematic exploration
- Visual styles, animation techniques, and sound design
- Genres and narrative structures
- An introduction to anime history and its global impact
- Age‑appropriate connections to Japanese culture
- Fostering creative expression through fan art, writing, design, etc.
- Lead lively and discussion–oriented sessions for small to mid‑sized groups of students
- Promote respectful conversations and cultivate a positive club culture
- Select or implement school‑approved content suitable for students' age
- Guide creative projects that align with anime themes
- Adapt sessions according to student interests while ensuring structure
- Communicate effectively with site staff and manage attendance and session completion
- Minimum of 60 college credits
- Familiarity with various anime genres and the ability to guide age‑appropriate discussions
- Experience working with children or teens (teaching, tutoring, camps, etc.)
- Strong facilitation and classroom management skills
- Professional demeanor and reliability in a school environment
- Teachers or aspiring educators
- College students in arts, media, education, or related fields
- Anime enthusiasts who possess excellent communication abilities
- Creative professionals who thrive in student‑focused environments
