Berwyn North School District 98 is located in Berwyn, Illinois. The district has three elementary schools and one middle school and serves more than 2,500 students in Pre‑K through 8th grade. Responsible for increasing student achievement. Main functions include but are not limited to:
- Assisting students with developing thinking skills and content knowledge
- Planning and implementation of standards‑based instruction
- Establishing a positive classroom environment and culture for learning
- Analyzing data and action planning
- Consistently communicating with stakeholders
Reports to Building Level Administrators & District Level Administrators
Education / Certification- Professional Educator's License (PEL)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Thorough understanding of the Illinois Learning Standards
- Thorough knowledge of instructional strategies that lead to increased student achievement
- Thorough knowledge of best practices in education
- Thorough understanding of the content being taught
- Strong planning and implementation skills
- Communicate clearly orally and in writing
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge/implementation of restorative discipline practices
- Strong understanding of equitable classroom practices
- High expectations for all students
- Comply with district policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations including special education laws
- Demonstrate professional, ethical, and responsible behavior; serve as a role model for students and other staff
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
