Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education Teacher endorsement (required onsite)
- Previous experience, training, or strong interest in early childhood special education
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and lead effective instruction tailored to K-1 students unique learning needs
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximize engagement and achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and specialists to provide integrated support
- Maintain detailed student records and prepare necessary documentation in compliance with requirements
