Fleet Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee a large, multi-site fleet operation across the United States. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management of fleet assets, including procurement, maintenance, compliance, utilization, and replacement planning.

The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong operational expertise, and the ability to balance day-to-day fleet needs with long-term business objectives.

• Develop fleet strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead vehicle procurement activities, including specifications, vendor selection, negotiations, and delivery coordination.
• Manage fleet lifecycle planning, including acquisition, maintenance, replacement timing, and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and support operational teams with fleet-related issues.
• Implement and leverage technology solutions, including telematics, GPS tracking, and safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, state, and local regulations.
• Manage fleet administration, including registrations, titles, insurance coordination, and fleet databases.
• Establish and track fleet KPIs, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Partner closely with operations leadership to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of fleet management experience, preferably within transportation, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, compliance requirements, and fleet technologies.
• Experience managing fleet procurement and vendor relationships.
• Proven analytical and reporting skills with the ability to drive data-based decisions.
• Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management systems.

• Industry certifications such as NAFA or AEMP.
• Experience implementing fleet process improvements and technology enhancements.
• Background supporting large, geographically dispersed fleets.

• $105,000 - $140,000 (based on experience)
• Discretionary bonus (based on experience)
