Job Summary
The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. The position also includes shift management responsibilities in the absence of senior management. Bilingual candidates are encouraged.
Essential Job Functions- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, and Rock the Lot.
- Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process online buy‑to‑store orders, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner and notify customers of shipment arrivals.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently, following procedures and using the electronic outside purchase ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges promptly, issue accurate refunds using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approval for deviations, and clock in/out per company policy.
- Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, secure money/deposit records, prepare bank deposits, ensure night security lights are on, lock doors, arm or disarm security alarms, and secure delivery vehicles.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair.
- ASE Certification is desired.
- Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged.
Pay Range: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour, with additional annual or quarterly performance premiums possible under specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply.
