This role supports the maintenance team with general facility upkeep and repair activities in a fast-paced distribution center. You will assist with maintenance projects, perform basic repairs, support facility clean-up, move materials, and help install equipment such as TV monitors and other fixtures. This position suits someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable using basic hand and power tools, and eager to learn maintenance procedures in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Assist the maintenance team with general facility maintenance tasks in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Support maintenance projects by preparing materials, tools, and work areas as needed.
• Perform basic repairs under the guidance of maintenance staff, including minor mechanical and electrical tasks within your training and capabilities.
• Carry out facility clean-up duties to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Move, lift, and position materials, equipment, and fixtures as required, including loads up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with the installation of TV monitors and other equipment and fixtures throughout the facility.
• Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and correctly to complete assigned tasks.
• Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or facility concerns to the maintenance team promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and instructions while working in the distribution center.
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure smooth facility operations.

• Basic maintenance, construction, or general labor experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude with a strong willingness to learn maintenance procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Experience with facility clean-up and performing basic repairs.
• Ability to assist with installation of TV monitors and other equipment.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented approach to work.
• Comfort working in a general facility maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or general labor in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical tasks under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision over time.

This position is based in a distribution center operating in an industrial or manufacturing-type environment. You will work Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with most tasks performed on your feet and involving physical activity such as lifting, moving materials, and using hand and power tools. The facility environment is fast-paced and focused on safety, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial setting is required to support safe and effective performance of duties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bessemer, AL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
