Yard Tech (Seasonal) - AEQ - Prudhoe Bay JOB SUMMARY

The Yard Tech is responsible for maintaining shop and yard cleanliness, organization, to support shared/rental equipment readiness, Washbay operations and the material and equipment that flows through it. This is a seasonal, benefits eligible position expected to begin July 2026 and be completed on or around November 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Transport shuttle pipe and other equipment to the Washbay for cleaning and maintenance in support of O&M contracts and related work.
  • Maintain the primary AEQ shop in a clean and organized condition, ensuring drums and other items requiring wash bay cleaning prior to disposal are processed daily to meet compliance requirements.
  • Perform equipment check‑in and check‑out procedures for shared and rental equipment used by the O&M and AEQ teams.
  • Fuel equipment as needed to ensure operational readiness.
  • Keep the yard organized and maintain orderly storage of inventory and equipment.
  • Conduct weekly pipe inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Move pipe, materials, and equipment into and out of the shop as required.
  • Assist Roustabouts by heating and starting equipment when needed.
  • Remove shop trash and transport it to designated dumpsters.
  • Pick up parts and materials from the airport, freight companies, and other suppliers as required.
  • Support wash bay operations and related activities as needed.
  • Perform snow removal and winter maintenance activities as required.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid U.S. issued Driver’s License is required.
  • Local Coast Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
  • Ability to work 84 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Roustabout or Yard Hand role is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working as a Roustabout or Yard Hand specifically in Construction, the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environments is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, lodging and food will be provided. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi‑Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending on where you are staying;

however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self‑serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed during on‑site orientation.
