Day Porter
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment throughout the day. This position involves light cleaning, restocking, and responding quickly to cleanliness and maintenance needs as they arise during business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of high-traffic areas
- Restock restrooms and supply areas with paper products, soap, and other necessities
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins throughout the day
- Spot clean spills, smudges, and messes as they occur
- Keep common areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and kitchens clean and orderly
- Respond promptly to service calls or requests from building occupants
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
- Ensure building entrances and sidewalks remain clean and clear of debris
- Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor or facility manager
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Prior janitorial, porter, or maintenance experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Must be able to pass a background check (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
