DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position plays an important role in keeping the buildings and grounds of the hospital in good condition. The work supports daily operations through regular maintenance, basic repairs, and assistance to skilled trades workers. As a Laborer, you will perform the following duties:
- General Cleaning:
Maintain indoor and outdoor areas by cleaning facilities, pavilions, and recreational spaces - Grounds Care:
Carry out landscaping tasks such as mowing, seeding, planting, pruning, and clearing debris or snow - Basic Repairs:
Perform minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting work as directed - Tool Operation:
Use hand and power tools to support building and equipment maintenance activities - HVAC Assistance:
Support the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment - Transport Tasks:
Drive vehicles to move personnel, tools, and materials as needed
- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime as needed
- Free parking!
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
- This position requires a driver’s license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
