Facilities Engineer

Salary Range $31.26 - $39.07*

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher‑cost areas.

This position’s primary role will be the maintenance, repair and general upkeep of most systems in a SFA/NM retail store. It involves maintaining and troubleshooting critical building equipment such as electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, dock doors, lighting, generators, flush valves, and facets.

Key duties include:

• Weekly preventive maintenance on all building equipment and building envelope, with daily/weekly/monthly logging of safety inspections.
• Inspections of facility equipment such as vertical transportation, boilers, generators and HVAC.
• Ordering maintenance supplies and assisting the Regional Manager in managing maintenance expense accounts.
• Assisting Regional Manager with execution of capital planning projects.
• Maintaining and coordinating building energy management systems, including lighting through Trane Ensemble Software.
• Supporting store systems such as Point of Sale (POS) and Telephone systems, and may support kitchen equipment.
• Responding to after‑hours and emergency calls; overtime and limited time off required during peak periods.

• Degree from a vocational school or college focusing on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
• Two to five years of experience or four years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Background in building maintenance, electrical, and HVAC.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and self‑prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to work with others independently and as a self‑starter.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with regular bending, lifting, reaching, and climb ladders.
• Effective written and verbal communication with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
• Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
• Highly self‑motivated and customer‑centric.
