Part‑Time Housekeeping Assistant – Westpark Village, Billings, MT

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily housekeeping functions and tasks as assigned while following safety precautions and infection control procedures.
  • Adhere to work/cleaning schedules as closely as possible.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing staff when performing routine cleaning in resident living and recreational areas.
  • Maintain all assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive condition.
  • Dispose of personal protective equipment in accordance with sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of housekeeping materials is available in utility/janitorial closets.
  • Assist in lifting heavy equipment and supplies as directed.
  • Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating/cooling units, and other surfaces in resident rooms and recreational areas.
  • Wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures and remove water marks.
  • Clean windows and mirrors throughout the facility.
  • Clean floors through sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, and disinfecting.
  • Vacuum carpets and clean wall and ceiling surfaces by washing, wiping, dusting, spot‑cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
  • Remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from all surfaces using proper cleaning solutions.
  • Clean hallways, stairways, elevators, and vacant rooms.
  • Store equipment, tools, and supplies properly and maintain tidy work areas before breaks, meal times, and at the end of the shift.
Qualifications
  • Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies.
  • Capacity to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile individuals within the facility.
  • Proficient spoken, written, and understood English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.
