Maintenance Assistant

• Provide first-class customer service to prospects and residents
• Clean all vacated units to prepare them for lease and move-in
• Keep property grounds clean by picking up trash
• Ensure the property is clean, maintained, and safe, including offices, common areas, stairwells, basements, grounds, and exteriors
• Identify and address potential situations that could cause liability to the property or management company
• Assess the physical condition of properties and recommend improvements to enhance curb appeal, with Manager approval
• Complete all work orders timely, professionally, and courteously, including thorough clean-up
• Maintain an organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas
• Ensure exterior lighting is functional and adequate for community safety; oversee necessary inspections
• Set realistic project deadlines and keep the Manager updated on progress
• Follow applicable codes, legal requirements, OSHA standards, and compliance statutes

• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience managing building systems in student housing
• At least 1 year experience with building automation systems and life safety systems
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
