Position Summary
Join our team as a Traffic Control Technician and play a key role in keeping everyone safe! You'll manage traffic through work zones, ensuring that drivers and workers are protected. Tasks- Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulation on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing and removing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Operates pickup (not requiring a commercial driver’s license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures, conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to OSHA and DOT standards.
- Reports safety hazards and traffic problems.
- Performs manual labor assignments as needed. And all other duties not otherwise specified.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Operation Monitoring - Watching traffic and co-worker cues, and/or other indicators to make sure traffic is flowing/stopping properly.
- Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Vision – Must be able to see in order to keep traffic moving safely.
- Multilimbed Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while standing, or climbing. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
- Control Precision - The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust and react.
- Rate Control - The ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene.
- Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects as needed.
- Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
- Bend or Stoop: 30 Minutes
- Crouch:
Occasionally - Carry: 8-12 Hours
- Walk or Stand: 8-12 Hours per shift lift the following:
- 5-10 lbs.
- Continuously - 10-20 lbs.
- Up to 10 Hours - 20-50 lbs.
- 4 Hour - Over 50lbs. – Occasionally

The employee works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to airborne particles and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
No experience required
Valid Driver's License with Clean MVR
