Key Responsibilities of a Bus Cleaning Operative
- Cleaning the coaches and buses to best quality
- Sweeping the vehicle and removing all rubbish and debris from the floor, seats, and luggage racks and driver’s cabin
- Checking vehicle for any lost property
- Wiping down all armrests, windowsills and trays
- Cleaning windows using glass cleaner and a cloth
- Hoovering any carpets (and seats if required)
- Buckle up all seat belts, mopping all vinyl flooring, removing seat pads and hoovering out underneath
- Wiping overhead luggage racks and footrests
- Cleaning coach toilets
- Completing the cleaning checklist and displaying at front of vehicle
- Touch Point Cleaning
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise and manage an ever‑changing workload
- Cleaning experience would be preferred however full training will be provided
- A good understanding of English, both written and spoken
- Full uniform supplied
