• Promote Safety – Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and Maintain Crusher – Assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair and adjustment of crushing and processing equipment; must have some MIG and Stick welding experience.
• Inspect Equipment and Structures – Perform daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
• Monitor Processes and Materials – Monitor and review the plant, especially aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas, to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.
• Document and Record Information – Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports regarding the plant equipment to keep preventative maintenance up to date.
• Perform General Physical Activities – Assist with plant operations, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
• Additional Responsibilities – Other duties as assigned.

• Experience – Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry; must have experience with MIG and Stick welding.
• Knowledge of Best Practices – Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial crusher maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
• Flexibility – Must be able to work overtime and extended hours; work outdoors in all weather; tolerate loud noises.
• Mechanical Skills – Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
