Green Alpha Property Management is a real‑estate management and commercial investment company headquartered in Wake Forest, NC, with a strong presence throughout the Southeast United States.
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be a key member of our team managing a rapidly growing portfolio of apartment communities in Birmingham, AL. This full‑time position (40 hours a week) focuses on ensuring tenants have the best possible rental experience. You will handle all maintenance and repair tasks, resolve work orders promptly, and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other parties to keep facilities in good repair.
Speed is critical, so a sense of urgency and a willingness to learn are essential traits.
Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year.

- Respond promptly to service requests and work orders, ensuring efficient problem resolution and delegating duties as appropriate.
- Conduct preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, landscapers, and other parties to ensure smooth property operations.
- Ensure that all facilities and related systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, exterior, etc.) are in good working order.
- Ensure units are 100% ready for move‑in, including completing checklists and conducting physical inspections.
- Update and maintain work order records through App Folio, our in‑house property management software.
- Maintain clean properties by ensuring complexes are clear of trash and debris.
- HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
- Proficiency with common computer applications (Excel, Word, etc.) required.
- Strong desire to uphold personal honesty, integrity, and work ethic.
- Maintains a passionate and enthusiastic attitude.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to various properties.
- Legal documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States.
