Building Plant Maintenance

• Must have carpentry and mechanical skills, including using power and hand tools.
• Must have welding experience.
• Fill Propane Tanks
• Inspect dock plates and rollup doors and perform maintenance and repair.
• Inspect red/green lights, flood lights and fans in warehouse and in shipping and repair.
• Responsibility for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly checks on equipment and facilites.
• Must be able work on material system.
• Operate forklift. Perform daily maintenance checks and ensure safe operation and follow all established rules and policies regarding forklift operation.
• Drive company vehicle when necessary.

• One year certificate from college or technical school, preferred.
• 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to pass both a written and hands-on performance test to obtain a Sterilite Forklift License.
