Maintenance Technician (Temporary Full-Time)

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining residential apartments and community common areas through timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and excellent customer service to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, and general maintenance
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment issues
  • Complete work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and minor repairs
  • Support community projects, building upkeep, and seasonal maintenance activities
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory
  • Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One to two years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (more with assistance)
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and ladder use
