Job Description

Streets Crewman in Bixby, OK. Performs a variety of maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City streets.

• Insurance: The City of Bixby provides an excellent benefit package for employees Health, Dental and Life Insurance coverage. The City pays 100% of an employee’s Health and Dental Insurance coverage. An employee will pay $129.00 per month to add dependents to their Health and Dental coverage. The City provides $20,000.00 in life insurance for the employee. The employee may purchase additional coverage for themselves and/or family members.
  
  The City also offers Vision, AFLAC and Flexible Spending Accounts at the employee’s expense.
• Retirement: Retirement is through OPERS (Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System), the employee contributes 3.5% bi‑weekly and the City contributes 16.5%.
• Education: The City offers various training classes and seminars at no cost to the employee. College reimbursement up to 50% of tuition costs with an annual limit of $1,500. (The course of study has to be related to the employee’s job.)
• Holidays: The City offers 13 paid holidays.
• Vacation: After 6 months of full‑time employment, employees receive 5 days of vacation (1 week). After 1 year of full‑time employment, employees receive an additional 5 days. For 7‑12 years of full‑time employment, employees receive 15 days. For 13‑14 years, 20 days. For 15‑20 years, 25 days. For 20+ years, 30 days.
• Sick Leave: After 30 days of full‑time employment, employees accrue 1 day (8 hours) of sick leave per month.
