Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Overview

We are part of a nationwide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities and are seeking a Housekeeper. The purpose of this position is to provide campus cleaning services and minor maintenance requests to support residents and employees, ensuring facilities are in good condition.

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and using departmental standards and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, plunging toilets, and replacing batteries as needed.
• Maintain floors (sweeping, dry/wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, buffing) as scheduled or assigned.
• Assist with emergency spill cleanup, project cleaning (walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, etc.), and deep cleaning rooms/units during transfers or discharges.
• Remove trash and recyclables from collection points, public areas, and entrance areas, and transport to dumpster/trash pick‑up locations; replace trash liners.
• Move furniture and assist in resident moves during transfers/discharges.
• Participate in campus linen program (distributing, collecting, counting, preparing for pick‑up, handling incoming linen).
• Distribute and prepare beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, repair or report needs for repair, and observe/report need for repairs to facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
• Assist with receiving campus supplies, deliveries, and putting away; participate in campus snow and ice salting.

• High school education or equivalent.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written with residents and staff.
• Dependability, common sense, and ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish assignments each day.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policy and procedures with limited direct supervision.
• Interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.
• May require availability on weekends.

Pay Range: $11.76 – $15.12 per hour (reasonable estimate). For full‑time employees, we offer a benefits package that includes:
