Salary: $33,280.00 – $47,579.71 per year, commensurate with experience and prorated to start date

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine manual labor associated with daily building cleaning, including dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, removing trash, cleaning bathrooms, and polishing furniture.
• Respond to emergencies in support of students and school operations.
• Support school functions and community activities as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or passing score on the literacy test given by MCPS.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength and to read basic operating instructions.
• Ability to cooperate with other staff members, adapt to changes in the work environment, and remain dependable and punctual.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and repeatedly lift heavy objects (40+ lbs.) as needed.
• Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary.

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Previous custodial experience.
• Ability to use a computer and input data.
