Job Description:

The Housekeeping Worker will support Custodial Operations by maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across SECL facilities. Responsibilities include floor maintenance, dusting, trash removal, snow and ice removal from entrances and sidewalks, raking leaves, and collecting trash near buildings. The role also involves maintaining and replenishing supplies, reporting repairs, operating powered and manual cleaning equipment, mixing chemicals according to guidelines, caring for supplies and keys, and supporting event operations in SECL reservable spaces.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills for interaction with employees, students, and visitors at a large university campus facility.
• Knowledge of commercial/industrial cleaning methods.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision; safely mix chemicals with proper proportions from established guidelines; operate both manual and electrically powered cleaning equipment.

Experience in cleaning of institutional or commercial areas.

Base salary: $33,280 per year. Benefits include health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and more.

• Hours per week: 40
• Shift: Saturday – Wednesday 3:00 PM‑11:30 PM and weekends as needed.

• Overtime Status:
  Non‑Exempt – Eligible for overtime.
