Maintenance Site Supervisor
CMG Leasing has successfully served the New River Valley with apartments and single family homes since 1983. We own and manage 24 residential communities totaling over 1800 apartment homes, as well as, 5 commercial properties encompassing 39 office spaces.
We are seeking a Maintenance Site Supervisor to oversee one of our properties in Blacksburg. The Maintenance Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and maintaining grounds. This involves ensuring a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience as a supervisor in property maintenance. The Maintenance Site Supervisor must be aware of the condition of physical property throughout the community and immediately correct and report unsafe conditions; e.g., broken gates leading to the pool, broken steps, open holes, broken/burned out exterior lights. Schedules and performs minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis.
Assists in development of Maintenance Technicians and Prep Technicians. Instills a "safety first" attitude not only with Maintenance Technicians but with all staff. Make sure Maintenance and Prep Technicians have the personal protective equipment (PPE) needed and that it is in good condition. Meet with Property Manager weekly to discuss open work orders and meet with Regional Maintenance Supervisor a minimum of once a month to discuss site issues, work orders, employee issues, etc.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build, develop and motivate teams, proactive and forward thinking, (able to see the big picture), provide advice and guidance (technical and non-technical) to staff as and when necessary, and must be well organized.
