We are the largest family-owned and operated waste and recycling provider in Minnesota, providing over 100,000 services each week with a fleet fueled by both diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG).

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant facility through preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and general building and grounds upkeep. This position operates various equipment, supports public drop operations, and maintains overall facility cleanliness and organization. All work must be performed in accordance with company safety policies, SOPs, and applicable permit requirements.

This position is safety-sensitive. It requires drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 49 CFR Part 382, including marijuana testing. This position also requires an active DOT health card. To obtain a DOT health card, candidates must have a valid Minnesota driver's license.

• Complete light preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and other equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout the facility.
• Assist with snow removal, salting, sweeping, pressure washing, and seasonal grounds maintenance as needed.
• Clean and perform light maintenance in confined spaces.
• Operate a skid loader, scissor lift, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues as needed.
• Pick up litter around the facility to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure purity of outbound FSB loads.
• Work with vendors and customers to maintain all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the public drop area.
• Assist the general public with drop-off activities.
• Adhere to all opening and closing procedures.
• Adhere to all SOPs and permit requirements to ensure 100% compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Physically able to perform essential job functions.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two years of relevant loader, heavy equipment, or operations experience preferred. Waste industry experience is preferred, but other relevant industry experience will be considered.
• Conveyor belt system knowledge preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate politeness, confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy when dealing with complex situations.
• Strong listening, motivational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clean driving record.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
