Job Title

Janitorial Technician - 2nd shift

Summary

Location & Compensation

Location:

Blair, Nebraska.

Salary: $15–$22 depending on experience.

Hours:

Mon‑Fri 2pm‑10pm or 3pm‑11pm (negotiable). Weekly pay on Fridays. Comprehensive benefits day one, including Employee Perks and Daily Pay Program.

Responsibilities
  • Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • Remove trash from offices and other work areas.
  • Strip, wax, burnish floors; clean and maintain carpeted floors and scrub ceramic tile floors.
  • Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repair.
  • Follow established routine.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned by the responsible supervisor.
  • Use hand tools and cleaning machinery daily such as floor sweepers and brooms.
  • Work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as demanded by the job.
  • Comply with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
  • Communicate with all team members to assist in developing short‑ and long‑range planning that supports the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Maintain personal tools required for the job.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the job.
  • Maintain good attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
  • Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
Qualifications
  • Two years’ experience in Janitorial/Custodial applications desirable.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including holidays and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, cleaning machinery, floor sweepers, and brooms.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented, safety‑conscious environment.
  • Good attendance and reliable timekeeping.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50pounds, move for extended periods, ascend/descend staircases, ladders, and step stools, and operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Physical Demands
  • Observe details at close range (within a few feet).
  • Control precision—quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions.
  • Manual dexterity—quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
  • Move for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • Ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • Operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Operate forklifts or other vehicles safely.
  • Wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Arrange things or actions in a specific order or pattern according to a rule.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Typically loud noise level.
