Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Sirius Staffing is hiring a Custodian/Janitor for a contract position at a manufacturing site in Blair, Nebraska. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the office and common areas, stocking supplies, removing trash and recycling, and supporting the overall upkeep of the administrative building.

Pay: $20/hr

Schedule:

Mon-Fri Day Shift, 40 hours/week (start time is flexible 7AM, 8AM, or 9AM)

The Custodian/Janitorial Services position supports the cleanliness and organization of the administrative building at a chemical manufacturing site. This role includes routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, locker rooms, showers, stairwells, entrances, hallways, and other shared spaces. The person in this role will help maintain a clean, orderly, and professional environment while following site expectations and respecting employee work areas.

• Follow cleaning expectations for administrative areas within an active chemical manufacturing site.
• Stock and order cleaning supplies.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, conference rooms, breakrooms, lobbies, control rooms, labs, stair towers, hallways, locker rooms, showers, and other common areas.
• Clean entrances, doors, and windows as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms on a routine basis.
• Stock restroom supplies, including soap, hand towels, toilet paper, and other necessary items.
• Clean and straighten conference rooms and training rooms, including wiping tables, arranging chairs, and emptying trash.
• Maintain breakrooms by cleaning surfaces, emptying trash, mopping as needed, and stocking coffee.
• Clean office spaces and cubicles as available without disturbing desktops, personal work spaces, or belongings.
• Empty trash throughout the administrative building and change trash bags as needed.
• Empty recycling and transport recyclable materials to designated recycling dumpsters.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and complete cleaning tasks consistently.
• Ability to follow instructions and respect employee work spaces and personal areas.
• Ability to walk, bend, lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies, trash, and other materials as needed.
• Reliable and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
