Overview
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Facilities, the Environmental Services Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, scheduling and training of Environmental Services employees.
Essential Functions
- Trains, schedules, and oversees daily operations of all Environmental Services personnel to ensure proper daily and project cleaning in Assisted Living and Independent Living apartments.
- Assists cleaning teams, to cover scheduling gaps due to call outs, staffing vacancies, and approved time off as needed.
- Orders and keeps inventory of all housekeeping and laundry supplies.
- Leads regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Completes visual quality assurance inspections, documenting problem areas, and ensuring problem resolution.
- Monitors the effectiveness of all chemicals and recommends changes as needed.
- Keeps accurate records of all SDS and ensures all staff are aware of applicable OSHA standards.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the public bathroom, front lobby, and carpets in the Commons Area.
- Follows all policies and procedures, annual mandatory in-services, required meetings, and all other conditions of employment are consistently met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 3 years of housekeeping/laundry experience is required.
- Some lead/supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Working knowledge of proper cleaning methods in a medical facility including proper use of supplies and equipment.
- Working knowledge of the safe operation and proper use of housekeeping machinery, tools, supplies, and equipment.
Hours
1st shift, Full-time, 40 hours:
Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Pay
$22.00 per hour
