Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
Overview: As Chief Engineer, you ensure the hotel’s appearance is pristine, all systems are operational, and guests feel manage maintenance, repair requests, and preventive upkeep across rooms, common areas, and facilities.
Salary RangeSalary Range: $54,000 - $62,750 annually

- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Respond to and attend to guests’ repair requests promptly.
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines and perform surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood repair, light bulb and AC filter replacement, and thorough clean‑up of repair areas.
- Inspect and repair grout, caulking, and plumbing fixtures.
- Maintain pool, chemicals, and pool equipment.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment (e.g., toilets, electrical components, cosmetic items, internet devices); replace electrical switches and outlets; program TVs; and perform general housekeeping and inventory duties.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
- Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and protect company assets.
- Develop relationships with all departments and communicate regularly.

The Chief Engineer must stand for long periods during shifts, grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, use fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds without assistance (and heavier items with assistance), navigate stairs, ramps, or ladders, and reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.
