Position Overview: In this role, you will maintain Fraser's residential and commercial facilities and equipment to ensure a clean, safe, functional, and professional environment. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and repairing a range of issues, from basic housekeeping and maintenance to advanced carpentry and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities- Communicate with Facilities Manager on a routine basis regarding new and/or ongoing maintenance or janitorial issues at each Fraser property. Note and immediately communicate with the Facilities Manager regarding any unusual occurrences on the premises, including infractions by tenants, their guests, or strangers.
- Respond to emergency maintenance or engineering issues immediately to assess the need, make recommendations for repair or correction, and assure follow through with approved plan.
- Perform daily monitoring and maintenance of mechanical rooms, including the boiler, water heaters, air handlers, fire protection and alarm systems.
- Monitor and assure regular lawn care.
- Assure and assist in the expedient removal of snow and ice from walkways.
- Assist in annual inspections and complete needed maintenance or repair. Document all inspections and safety reviews accurately and timely.
- Complete long-term projects as assigned, including remodeling projects and other construction work.
- Richfield office, but will also be responsible to work at other Fraser facilities throughout the Metro Area.
- The starting pay range for this role is $23.00 to $29.00 an hour depending on qualifications.
- Full time, regular schedule typically during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. This position will require ability to flex work hours based on business needs, with occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend hours required for building emergency situations.
This role will have on-call duties for one of every five weeks.
- High School education or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable record required.
- Previous experience working in a maintenance position.
- Basic electric, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills required.
- Obtain boiler’s license (State of Minnesota Engineer’s License – special) within 1 year of employment.
