Position Summary

The Cleaning Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents living in the Geneva Suites’ residential assisted living homes. This position requires attention to detail, respect for personal spaces, adherence to cleaning protocols, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors through the upkeep of their home environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in resident homes in accordance with The Geneva Suites’ cleanliness checklists.
  • Perform full house cleaning duties, including kitchen (appliances, counters, sinks, cabinets, floors), bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers/tubs, mirrors, floors), and living areas/bedrooms (dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, windows).
  • Linen changes, laundry, and supply organization.
  • Use only approved, food‑safe, and EPA‑registered products for all cleaning tasks.
  • Disinfect high‑touch surfaces and follow all infection control policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness logs and notify leadership of any maintenance needs.
  • Follow assigned cleaning routes at two homes per day on a rotating schedule.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and proper storage of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Respect resident privacy, belongings, and preferences while working in their home.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in professional cleaning, preferably in residential or assisted living environments.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping safety standards and infection control best practices.
  • Ability to work independently, travel between homes, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for creating safe, clean, and inviting environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Work Conditions and

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks (bending, standing, kneeling, reaching).
  • Exposure to cleaning products and equipment.
  • Travel required between multiple residential locations.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and TB test prior to hire.
