Modern Forge is actively recruiting Lead Quality Technicians/CMM Programmers.
Lead Quality Technician/CMM Programmer Position Description- Direct / support Quality Technicians / Inspectors with guidance from Quality Manager as required.
- Program CMM / Articulating arms as required (PcDimis and CMM Manager).
- Maintain Gage calibration system.
- Conduct Gage R&R as required.
- Perform / support 1 st Article inspection / reporting.
- Perform Cpk studies as directed.
- Maintain MRB with assistance of quality team.
- Conduct internal & external audits within the frameworks of internal performance system and ISO standards to improve business processes.
- Work with Modern team to analyze and determine nonconforming material causes.
- Work closely with Quality Engineer, Quality Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering, and the Value Streams to continually improve processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a quality professional.
- CMM Programming certification (PcDimis and CMM Manager).
- 1 year Gage Calibration experience.
- Strong ability to read prints and interpret GD&T.
- Experience in reading & interpreting specifications and technical documents.
- Work with varying surface plate heights for inspection with the ability to carry / lift 20 pounds.
- Experience in CNC and or fabrication manufacturing environment.
- Strong Project Management Skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong team leadership skills; ability to effectively train others.
- Qualified auditor in systems such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D.
- A mix of working in the quality lab and in the shop.
- Work with varying surface plate heights for inspection with the ability to carry / lift 20 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time Hourly position
