CDL Class A Driver - Scrap Hauling

Blue Island Recycling, LLC is a family-owned scrap metal recycling company building on safety, reliability, and respect for our employees. We are growing and looking for experienced CDL drivers to join our team.

• $28/hour starting pay + overtime
• Local routes home every night
• Steady, year-round work
• Scrap hauling only (no touch freight)
• Well maintained trucks and equipment
• Family‑run company where drivers are treated with respect

• Safely operate end dumps and Benlee rolloff trucks
• Haul scrap metal between our yard and customer locations
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
  
  Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork
• Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and yard personnel

• Valid CDL Class A License
• Experience with end dumps and rolloffs required
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience preferred
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
• Strong safety awareness and reliability
