Dockside Boat Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club Operations team, the dockside Fleetio Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and performs light maintenance on our fleet of vessels, while assisting with executing the day-to-day operations of the Club. We are looking for customer-focused, friendly, and upbeat individuals. This is a full‑time position requiring availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on vessels
• Own the process of entering and updating the Fleetio software
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
• Support team to reach common goals
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
• Adhere to all safety policies
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors

• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• High school diploma
• At least 21 years of age
• High attention to detail
• Ability to utilize a tablet and the Fleetio software
• Proven experience using applications
• Vision adequate to read and manipulate handheld computer tablets
• Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
• Highly effective communication skills and friendly customer service
• Must be a self‑starter and capable of working unsupervised
• Maintain a clean work area
• Maintain a cooperative, team attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees

• Fleet maintenance background
• Boating experience in and around boats

• Work outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time
• Local travel required
• Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floating
• Work near and on the water
• Safely move on, off and in vessels during various tide and weather conditions

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $20 per hour.
