Basic

Job Functions:

  • Providing guidance and support to help safely produce a quality product in a timely manner.
  • Performing PMs as directed and helping improve our PM program and perform breakdown repairs.
  • Directing and coordinating contractor activities, including taking after-hours calls and working onsite or at other sites during upset and unplanned conditions.
  • Developing and maintaining Maintenance Procedures, Lockour/Tagout Forms, Work instructions, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Planning and tracking spare parts inventory and equipment placement.
  • Driving continous improvement initiatives withing assigned areas. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

    • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the safety of all teammates
  • Skilled in the areas of welding, fabrication, and precision measurement
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment, including lifting, standing for extended periods, working at heights, and the ability to operate cranes, manlifts, scissor lifts, sky tracks, forklifts, and mobile equipment

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent safety record and consistently exceptional job performance
  • Technical degree in the engineering field or equivalent experience
