Job DescriptionSupervises and coordinates the maintenance activities of mobile equipment in a designated facility or organization. Responsibilities may include overseeing equipment repairs, scheduling maintenance tasks, managing inventory of spare parts, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and training staff on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities• Enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety training, and ensuring all maintenance activities comply with company and regulatory standards.
• Utilizing telemetry data, daily inspections, and other tools to track equipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Directing, mentoring, and scheduling a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
• Creating and overseeing preventative maintenance schedules, coordinating resources for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and managing vendor-based repair recommendations.
• Monitor Costs. Continually evaluate employee performance and the effectiveness of the repair and maintenance program to look for opportunities for improvement.
• Creating and managing budgets for repair and maintenance, overseeing the purchasing of parts and supplies, and responding to emergency maintenance needs.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors, operations management, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with mobile equipment.
• Create and manage budgets for repair and maintenance costs, oversee purchasing of parts and supplies, and respond to emergency maintenance activities as required.

• Technical Expertise - Solid mechanical understanding of mobile equipment, including basic maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to identify signs of equipment malfunction, understand and report them to the maintenance team.

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must have 5 years of heavy equipment repair and maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance, including diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other relevant areas.
• Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, vendors, and other departments.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices for mobile equipment maintenance.
• Ability to manage and control maintenance budgets effectively.
• Develops maintenance policies and procedures.
• Escalates issues to management and recommends solutions.
• Makes sure projects stay on schedule.
• Travel throughout region as needed including overnight stays.
• Ability to work with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty condition.
• Look for ways to improve efficiency and reduce operation costs.
• Ability for long working hours and weekends as repair and maintenance requires.
• Dependable and consistent in meeting work expectations and deadlines.
