Building Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Building Operations Engineer to support the maintenance, performance, and reliability of a commercial property. This hands‑on role is responsible for ensuring building systems operate efficiently while delivering exceptional service to tenants and stakeholders.

• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine repairs throughout the property.
• Respond to maintenance requests, equipment issues, and emergency situations in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Complete general building maintenance, including lighting, doors, drywall, flooring, and common‑area upkeep.
• Monitor building performance, document completed work, and support safety and compliance initiatives.

• 3+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities, or property operations.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Customer‑service mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance/work order systems.
• Relevant certifications or trade licenses are a plus, including Universal CFC certification.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance duties.
• Comfortable climbing ladders, working in mechanical spaces, and navigating indoor and outdoor environments.
• Availability for occasional after‑hours, on‑call, or emergency response situations.
