What You'll Do
As a Housekeeper in our Skilled Nursing building, you will help create a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and team members. Your work plays an important role in infection prevention and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitizing resident bathrooms according to infection control standards
- Cleaning and disinfecting common areas, hallways, nursing stations, offices, dining areas, and public restrooms
- Changing bed linens and making beds as assigned
- Emptying trash and biohazard waste containers according to established procedures
- Restocking housekeeping supplies and notifying the supervisor when inventory is low
- Following established infection prevention, safety, and OSHA guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Responding promptly to spills and other cleaning needs to maintain a safe environment
- Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality while providing services in resident rooms
- Performing other housekeeping duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
