Description
This role ensures consistent attendance and pristine cleanliness throughout the campus, maintaining building security procedures and reporting facility damage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Regular and consistent attendance
- Cleaning all auditoriums prior to opening for business
- Ensuring all lobby and hallway areas are properly cleaned prior to opening for business
- Ensuring all restrooms are clean and stocked prior to opening for business
- Ensuring that janitorial closet area is clean, organized, and stocked with needed supplies
- Reporting any facility damage found to the General Manager
- Responsible for securing and reporting any found items to management
- Maintain building security by keeping doors secured and the alarm set, disarming and arming as required (if applicable)
- Ensure all non-public areas are secure, including arming, disarming, and general operation of the alarm system
- Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks and/or meal periods
- Have knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures
- Required to read and understand training materials that cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education / ExperiencePrior janitorial experience preferred.
Language AbilityEffectively communicate in both oral and written form with management staff. Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and explain information to others.
Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather relevant data and note possible causes. Evaluate information, recognize alternatives, make evidence‑based conclusions, implement solutions, and perform tasks with minimal supervision under pressure.
Personal SkillsInterface effectively with co-workers, and exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others.
Work EnvironmentThe noise level is moderate, but at times may increase. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. The physical demands include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
Physical DemandsRepeat the demands described: standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, occasional climbing or balancing, lifting up to 60 lbs, vision requirements include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
ShiftsShifts will be early mornings, 6 am-10 am.
