Service Technician; PacLease

Kenworth Sales Co. is looking for a Pac Lease Service Technician to join our Boise, .

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Earn $26-$31 DOE.

The primary function of the Pac Lease Service Technician is to perform routine maintenance services and repairs on Lease and Rental vehicles at various customer locations.

• Perform all preventive maintenance and servicing of fleet vehicles as directed by Pac Lease Service Manager/supervisor. Perform all regularly scheduled maintenance on a timely basis.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other service problems, determining necessary repairs. Report recommended repairs and servicing to Pac Lease Service Manager/supervisor.
• Performs additional maintenance and/or repairs as directed by Service Manager/Supervisor.
• Operate fleet vehicles as directed on a daily basis, including test driving, delivering, fueling, and retrieving from customer locations.
• Generate maintenance and service records of fleet vehicles serviced, including fleet vehicle inspection and maintenance reports, and forward to Pac Lease Service Manager/Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Complete all training, safety and certification programs required to ensure superior quality service, including CDL certification.
• Comply with departmental safety program, minimizing on‑the‑job injuries and providing a superior safety record.
• Communicate with Department Manager, Pac Central, Customer and other department managers on a daily, weekly, monthly and as‑needed basis, regarding repair estimates, maintenance and service appointments, and complaints. Ensure timely, competent and courteous relations with Pac Lease customers. Promote the sales of Leasing and Rentals.
• Assist Pac Lease Manager, Pac Lease Service Manager/Supervisor and other employees in the performance of their duties.
• Perform occasional maintenance and repair out of mobile service truck at customer’s locations. Ensure that work area is clean, no spills or garbage is left behind.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent organization and communication skills. Working knowledge of truck repair and maintenance. Five years of experience as technician helper or apprentice in a truck dealership. Manual dexterity. Personal motivation and self‑reliance. Ability to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely. Experienced in MIG, Stick, aluminum welding and Oxy/Acetylene torch use.

Hydraulic systems experience preferred. Driver’s License and good driving record.

This is a physically demanding position. Will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. Will lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Will use hand and power tools, hoist and test equipment. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
