Description

Our Treasure Valley Family YMCA is currently seeking a Part‑Time Housekeeping Staff member to join our Association. This housekeeping role is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe and well maintained while maintaining positive interactions with members and other staff. You will be training in 6 facilities to clean and move around as a multi‑branch employee.

Schedule

This is a Part‑Time position of 14 hours a week. Shifts will be at our metro location near our Downtown Boise YMCA. Schedule requirements are:

  • Sundays, either:
  • 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

The schedule for Sunday is up to the candidate.

You will be cleaning our Metro Office on Wednesdays and Sundays, with Sunday monitoring Church Services on 2nd floor.

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe environment for members, participants, and staff by cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas of the facility to meet standards of cleanliness in accordance with cleaning checklists and using required safety measures.
  • Replenish products and supplies as needed.
  • Develop intentional relationships and engage with members.
  • Set‑up before and tear‑down after special events.
  • Record and report necessary repairs. Complete repairs if directed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety and security of the facility and its overall attractiveness by completing duties according to checklist or as assigned.
  • Routine locker room and restroom cleaning, stocking and maintenance.
  • Regular laundry including loading, unloading and operating washers and dryers, folding, stacking laundry.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 6 months or more of related experience preferred.
  • Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
