Full‑Time Janitor (Facility Maintenance Technician)
Northwest Equipment Sales, a Heavy‑Duty Truck & Trailer Dealership (Mack, Volvo, Kalmar Ottawa, and Cummins) is seeking to hire a Full‑Time Janitor (Facility Maintenance Technician) for its facility in Boise, Idaho. Wages are $19.00 – $23.00 per hour based upon experience.

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment across the dealership facilities, including service bays, parts department, offices, and customer areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring work spaces meet safety standards and reflect a professional appearance suitable for customers and employees in a heavy‑duty truck and trailer dealership setting.
Key Responsibilities Facility Cleaning & Upkeep- Clean and maintain service shop areas, including floors, bays, pits, and workstations
- Sweep, mop, and power wash shop floors to remove oil, grease, and debris
- Clean offices, break rooms, restrooms, and customer waiting areas
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility
- Replenish paper products, soap, and cleaning supplies
- Safely dispose of shop waste such as oily rags, absorbents, and debris following environmental guidelines
- Clean up fluid spills (oil, coolant, fuel) promptly using proper materials and procedures
- Assist with maintaining parts storage areas, keeping aisles clean and organized
- Support technicians by maintaining clean and safe work areas
- Maintain outdoor areas including parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks
- Pick up trash and debris around the property
- Assist with snow removal, salting, and ice control (seasonal)
- Perform light landscaping duties (weeding, sweeping, etc.)
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and vacuums
- Follow all OSHA and dealership safety policies
- Properly handle cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or needed repairs promptly
- Combination of indoor office areas and heavy‑duty service shop environment
- Exposure to noise, dust, grease, and varying temperatures
- Regular walking, bending, lifting, and standing required
- Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience (especially in shop or fleet environments)
- Ability to work around heavy equipment, trucks, and shop conditions
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
