Pay Rate

The pay rate for this job is $21.50 - $21.50 / hour*

Responsibilities
  • The Weatherization Specialist is responsible for assisting with on‑site energy assessments and installing weatherization materials.
  • Maintain project documentation, track inventory, and assist with warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with conducting on‑site energy assessments and other project activities.
  • Install weatherization materials in compliance with retrofitting standards.
  • Update and maintain project documentation.
  • Track inventory of weatherization materials and supplies used in homes.
  • Assist in day‑to‑day warehouse duties including receiving and storing materials, cleaning trucks, and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing homeowner concerns, responding to inquiries promptly, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the weatherization process.
  • Participate in webinars, demonstrations, and other presentations, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Available Shift

Shift timing – 1st Shift (Day)

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong ability to interact with diverse clients, providing excellent customer service.
  • Know how to use basic hand and power tools commonly used in construction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain detailed records efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and contribute to team efforts.
  • Dependable transportation, valid driver’s license and a good, insurable driving record.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, etc).
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and background check through IDHW.
  • High school diploma or GED; additional technical or vocational training in energy auditing, building science, or a related field is a plus.
  • One year of experience in the construction industry.
  • Physical demands: standing, walking, bending, sitting, and lifting for extended periods; capable of climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds; regular talking, listening, and using hands to handle tools; must be able to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions.
