Reedhouse has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician. Our team members are high performers that care about customer service and exceed expectations. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in our success by performing technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

What Your Day Might Look Like
  • Being part of a team and having fun while providing excellent customer service
  • Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner (including appliance repairs)
  • Prepare apartments for new move‑ins by completing the make‑ready process
  • Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas
  • Assist with vendor management and other duties
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment
What We Are Looking For
  • Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
  • Previous experience with painting, entry‑level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
  • High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
  • Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Essential Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing and repairing defects in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
  • Complete the make‑ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move‑ins, including pre‑move‑out inspection, creating a punch list of maintenance work, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing tasks, and inspecting finished work.
  • Follow procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, and tools from the maintenance department, tracking inventory used, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor about re‑ordering needs.
  • Complete documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion so that service requests can be properly documented and tracked.
  • Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
  • Support cost‑cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible, being efficient with materials and supplies, and employing correct use of tools and equipment.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Comply with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies by attending routine safety meetings, completing required training on OSHA and other safety laws, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Periodically inspect work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to verify that work and services meet quality standards, scope, and specifications as required.
  • Assist in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns and communicate these concerns to management.
