Cleaner Overnight Shift

Overview

Position:
Cleaner - Overnight Shift. FLSA Status:
Hourly Non-Exempt.

Reports to:

Club Manager / Assistant Club Manager.

• Facility Cleaning:
  Maintain daily cleaning of all assigned areas in accordance with Planet Fitness standards and guidelines. Thoroughly clean, disinfect and sanitize all common areas (restrooms, locker rooms, Black Card Spa, showers, toilets, sinks and floors). Wipe down and disinfect fitness equipment, weights, and cardio machines. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust throughout the facility. Empty and dispose of trash and recycling; maintain trash cans and cleaning stations.
  
  Refill cleaning supplies, paper products, and soap dispensers as needed and notify management when inventory is low. Maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., mop, bucket, vacuum bags). Other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Safety & Maintenance:
  Clean and post signage for unsafe conditions; report broken or missing amenities or equipment to management promptly. Follow Lost and Found Policy and notify management immediately. Follow all Planet Fitness cleaning and sanitization protocols.

  Experience:
  
  Greet members in a friendly, professional manner; help maintain a welcoming and positive club environment. Ensure cleaning duties are performed discreetly and efficiently during open hours. Some cross training may be provided to assist in front desk duties if needed.

Applicants for an overnight position must submit to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of hire. Continued employment will be based on satisfactory outcome of the background check.

Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
• Strong sense of honesty and exceptional work ethic.
• Commitment to cleanliness and creating a positive member experience.
• Willingness to learn and apply company cleaning practices, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within required time frames.
• Obtain Tanning Certification within company required time frames.

Preferred:

• Previous janitorial, cleaning, or custodial experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

• Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment; travel between sites may be required.
• Exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and various hazards; exposure to weather and temperature conditions.
• Requires physical ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods, and to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand movements. Ability to climb ladders and lift, carry, push, or pull moderate to heavy weights (over 80 lbs).
• Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in case of medical emergencies.
• See and hear in the normal visual/audio range with or without correction.
