Good, New England’s Largest firewood bank provides free firewood to Vermont families in need. We are seeking a Woodlot Manager to help lead our firewood production and distribution operations.

• Cut firewood in preparation for Volunteer days and manage the project flow.
• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, and wood-processing equipment.
• Lead and supervise volunteers during woodlot workdays.
• Coordinate firewood distribution projects and remote processing sites.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Occasional overnight travel to remote Vermont locations.

• Expert level chainsaw experience required.
• Heavy equipment operation experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license/CDL preferred/ Good driving record

A skilled woodsman, mechanic, logger, arborist, or heavy equipment operator who is passionate about helping Vermont families stay warm and enjoys leading volunteers and solving problems in the field.
