Chief Custodian ~ Postlethwait Middle School
ResponsibilitiesThis position requires the individual to be able to climb ladders, consistently lift 50 pounds, maintain equipment, complete tasks as assigned, and manage a school custodial team. Specific hours may be adjusted depending on the needs of the building by the Principal.
Qualifications- Applicant must have a high school diploma, certificate of completion, and/or GED.
- Applicant must possess a Chief Custodian Certificate (120 class hours) issued by the Delaware Department of Education or be able to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
- Internal candidates must complete an online transfer request form.
- All candidates must provide an official high school diploma or transcript, an updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
- All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
- Anyone offered employment must provide proper identification (Social Security card and driver’s license), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I‑9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
