Position
National Guard Surface Maintenance Specialist (Position Description Number D1254000, part of G4 SMM, National Guard). Indefinite (NTE 5 years) and may convert non‑competitively to a permanent position. This role is back filling a technician who is absent. Current Federal Techs assigned to G4 may receive a temporary promotion or reassignment; current tenure would transfer with the employee.

Qualifications- General
Experience:
Proficiency in equipment maintenance work, reading engineering drawings and specifications, using test instruments, performing computations, and maintaining records; experience with computer and automation systems. - Specialized
Experience:
Application of principles, concepts, and methods of equipment, facility, or service operations sufficient for designing projects or planning assignments; experience using well‑established occupational methods and techniques to determine facility, grounds, equipment overhaul, maintenance, restoration, and repair needs.
