Facility Maintenance Technician

Boise Centre, Idaho's largest convention and event venue, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to keep our downtown Boise property safe, efficient, and event-ready. In this hands-on role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues, and respond to work orders before and during events. You'll support event operations by ensuring building systems, equipment, and facilities are fully functional, clean, and safe.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Respond to work orders and urgent repair requests during events to minimize downtime
• Inspect facilities, identify maintenance needs, and document completed work
• Support event setup by ensuring building systems, utilities, and equipment operate properly
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment
• Coordinate with vendors or contractors as needed for specialized repairs
• Follow safety procedures, building codes, and Boise Centre standards
• Collaborate with event, operations, and custodial teams to support conventions and banquets
• Assist with seasonal projects, facility upgrades, and minor renovations
