Day Porter

Boise Centre, Idaho's largest convention and event venue, is seeking a reliable Day Porter to keep our downtown Boise facility clean, safe, and guest-ready. The Day Porter performs daily cleaning of lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and event spaces, responds to spills and quick-turn needs during events, restocks supplies, manages trash and recycling, and reports maintenance issues. Working closely with operations and events teams, this role supports a professional, guest-focused environment and helps deliver outstanding experiences for conferences, trade shows, banquets, and special events.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and public areas throughout the day
• Monitor and respond quickly to spills, debris, and immediate cleaning needs during events
• Empty trash and recycling, and ensure proper waste handling in public and event spaces
• Restock restroom and common-area supplies such as paper products and soap
• Perform basic floor care including sweeping, mopping, and spot-cleaning carpets or hard surfaces
• Support event operations with light room resets and ensuring spaces are guest-ready
• Inspect areas for safety or maintenance concerns and promptly report issues
• Operate basic cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely per guidelines
• Follow established cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality standards
• Provide courteous, guest-focused service to attendees, clients, and team members
